Pegaz Recruitment Ltd, trading as Joanna Black Recruitment, is committed to operating ethically and with full respect for human rights. We have a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking and forced or compulsory labour in every part of our business and supply chain.
This statement is published in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and covers our financial year 2025/2026.
Pegaz Recruitment Ltd t/a Joanna Black Recruitment is a specialist recruitment agency placing multilingual talent with UK employers. We connect candidates who speak European languages (German, French, Scandinavian languages and others) with companies across Great Britain, operating in permanent placement and advising clients on remote EU engagement models including Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements.
We operate as a micro-business with a single director and no employees. All candidate contact is handled directly by the Director.
We identify the following potential risk areas within our activities:
We assess our overall modern slavery risk as low, for the following reasons: all candidate contact is conducted directly by the Director; we do not use third-party labour intermediaries; we operate entirely within the regulated UK recruitment sector; and our operations are confined to placing candidates in professional, office-based roles.
When recommending Employer of Record (EOR) providers or other third-party engagement partners to clients, we satisfy ourselves that the provider:
The Director maintains awareness of modern slavery risks in the recruitment sector. This includes: recognising warning signs in candidate interactions, understanding the reporting procedure, and knowing how to access the Modern Slavery Helpline. Any future staff or associates engaged by the business will complete equivalent awareness training before beginning work.
